As the creator of this origami tutorial, I advise that you carefully consider the safety issues inherent in motorized origami and alternative tools or techniques. Also, stronger paper, more care in construction, and/or supervision, are at times required for origami models, especially for young students.
After checking out some of the tabbed examples, I am seeing how much more work it is to do an original 3d model with this style of origami. I really like the visual effect of this style of origami and am glad I now know the basics of making the style. Cleary, your book is much more detailed, easier to use, and has more pictures.
In the learning process of doing 3d origami, I am finding that learning how to use Adobe Acrobat is a huge leap for me, but I went ahead to get the full version. Reading all of this thread has been a lot of fun. I look forward to dropping in on the forum more often. Good job, kit.
Thank you for this amazing, very helpful page! My 3-year-old daughter and I really enjoyed following along to learn the basic shapes of this beautiful art form. Its great that kids of all ages can enjoy the beauty of this art form.Signed,
The Flying Plane challenge was created out of an idea by the accomplished origamician Mancole. Origami Flyer is a great starter project for your beginner students, and is generally suitable as a challenge for all grades up to about 8th grade. Enjoy this professional-quality project tutorial, and watch while my students watch me create the flyer. They are amazed at how creative this simple project can be. d2c66b5586
