After you replace the USB to COM port with WinUSB, a reboot of your computer usually does the trick, but to make it sure you can also manually restart your computer. Also make sure that Zadig runs as administrator, otherwise it would not be able to replace the driver. Then all you need to do is run the scrypt version of cpuminer with the proper -p command line parameter to start the miner of your choice. When the miner starts you can also substitute the command line parameter with -b to keep the processor auto scaling to 0 Watt.
To remove the USB to COM port, right click the Zadig icon and select "Delete Device". It will also delete the driver. To re-enable USB to COM automatically, right click the Zadig icon and select "Add Hardware", then follow the on-screen instructions to enable USB to COM and USB to MSC. To start Zadig as WinUSB and USB to MSC at the same time, just start Zadig a second time, in the setup just enable both.
The final step is to click the monitor icon and install your USB to COM as a virtual COM port. Zadig should detect the device and you can use it for both BTC and LTC hashing. Username: admin and Password: bluegrey or similar
Even though the cpu uses a 1 core, it is still able to run 2 processes simultaneously, so it is still possible to mine both BTC and LTC. With a Haswell Chip and the latest Windows 10 version, you cando this using our Zadig software. d2c66b5586
