The welding yield of the strain gauge is acceptable. The SEM image shows no defects in the welding zone. This result indicates a high glassing property of the weld. Healing DMT tool control of the welding process is sufficient. Other results from the measurement are the best in this work and the welding process is well established in terms of design and implementation.
Barium sulfate. Bausch and Lödige use this material for the coating of the pressure sensor, so that it is transparent for infrared radiation. However, they have to put a more considerable coating thickness of 3.5 mm than 0.8 mm for our sensor.
Withdrawing of the wire. This is an important step; the wire for the strain gauge has to be pulled out. The strain gauge is attached. Then, the cut-off for the wire for the strain gauge is pulled out.
The five-day measurement is finished. The process was accelerated by a delay and intermittent measurement; only a few functions were measured daily. The SPS process produces very robust pressure sensors with good long-term stability. This approach allows stable pressure sensors in harsh environments. It can be recommended in civilian use to identify hazards in the field of occupational health. With this success story, we expect to use this innovative technology in other fields. For example, it is likely that the TLP bonding process can be used to monitor continuous production. d2c66b5586
