The packaging for Pac-Man: Adventures in Time is a lot like the box for the original Pac-Man game, which is as it should be. The front cover features the yellow game character stepping through a time portal, as it takes him on a journey through different eras. The box contains the game disc, an instruction manual, and a bonus sticker for the game's CD-ROM. The back of the box has a list of all of the collectibles that you can find during your travels.

Pac-Man: Adventures in Time is a scrolling 3D maze game that looks as good as the original. The mazes are big, you can view 3D from a variety of angles, and have a ton of items to collect. There's even a few bonus-rounds that send Pac-Man to a Post-Apocalyptic wasteland, which can be pretty cool if you're into that sort of thing. Be warned, however, that the game isn't as easy as it used to be. There are a few new mechanics, including Power Pellets, which require some strategy to obtain, and new power-ups that can be a problem if you're not careful.

There's only one negative in the game, but it's one that takes away from the experience of playing. The sound effects are quite repetitive and occasionally are way too loud, especially in the Bonus Rounds. I also noticed the occasional glitch, such as finding myself out of the maze. All in all, it's a game that's hard to get through the first time, but easier after that.
